About Us

Shayne J. Croy, LCSW, LADC (he/him/his)

Shayne graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut, an internationally leading program in the field. He was trained and supervised in family therapy under Olga Hervis, the executive director of the Family Therapy Institute of Miami and co-creator of the Brief Strategic Family Therapy model.

He also trained in Domestic Violence intervention strategies and treatment for perpetrators and victims with the Duluth Model program at their headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota. In addition, he is trained and certified in a number of recognized, evidence-based modalities for substance use, trauma, anger and aggression, depression, issues of gender and sexuality, and other challenging life issues.

He is experienced in supporting clients through a variety of life challenges, including parenthood, relationship difficulties, complicated grief, life transitions, trauma, issues of gender and sexuality, and a variety of everyday life stressors. Other areas of experience include substance abuse, medical issues, body image, self-esteem, work, school, and home stressors. He takes a friendly, down-to-earth, personal and genuine integrated holistic approach to his practice in supporting clients to address all aspects of health – mind, body & spirit.

Shayne has over twenty years of experience in working with children, adolescents and adults. He brings a sense of humor, compassion, and empathy to his work. He recognizes that change is driven from within each individual and that each person’s path is unique to them, and thinks of himself as more of an interested, supportive passenger on someone’s life journey, as opposed to the person driving the bus.
